Kuala Lumpur Travel Vlog. Kuala Lumpur 4K Videos. We are in Kuala Lumpur and tasting Bubble Tea or Boba Tea, as it´s also called in the USA, for the first time. Maro and I (Maxi) have just spent a long day sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur and feel the need to have something cool to drink. Obviously we want to try something local from Kuala Lumpur. We have both always wanted to try Bubble Tea (Boba Tea) on our travels around Asia but somehow have never taken the opportunity to purchase one.

Today is the day we are going to taste our first Bubble Tea and it just happens to be in Kuala Lumpur. We are at the Tealive Bubble Tea (Boba Tea) chain located in the basement of the Pavilion Shopping Mall in Kuala Lumpur´s Bukit Bintang Shopping area. Watch us taste a “Signature Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea” for the first time and hear what we think about the taste and the taste of the Tapioca Balls inside the cold tea.
This footage is filmed in Kuala Lumpur, in the Basement of the Pavilion Shopping Mall close to the Tealive Malaysi Bubble Tea store.
Wiki writes about Bubble Tea, “Boba (also known as pearl milk tea, bubble milk tea, boba juice, boba tea, or simply bubble tea) (Chinese: 波霸奶茶; pinyin: bōbà nǎichá, with tapioca balls it is 珍珠奶茶; zhēnzhū nǎichá) is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Tainan and Taichung in the 1980s… The most accredited story for the origin of bubble tea comes from the Hanlin teahouse in Tainan, Taiwan. In 1986, in the Ya Mu Liao market, teahouse owner Tu Tsong-he got the inspiration when he saw white tapioca balls. He then made tea using the traditional white tapioca balls, which have the appearance of pearls, supposedly resulting in the so-called “pearl tea”. Shortly after, Hanlin changed the white tapioca balls to the black version that is seen today…”
Wiki writes about Kuala Lumpur, “Kuala Lumpur officially the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, or commonly KL, is the national capital of Malaysia as well as its largest city. The only alpha world city in Malaysia, it covers an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi) and has an estimated population of 1.73 million as of 2016…”
